I learned to knit when I was about 6 years old - that is a very long time ago. I never got good at it though - and I never mastered purling, which is essential for stockinette and just about every other stitch you use to make anything more than a wash rag. Today, in just a couple hours, I learned how to knit and purl, my stockinette looks mostly awesome (nothing practice won't fix) and I can cast on and off like a champ! Awsome sense of accomplishment - I'd just about given up ever getting this down, and now, I can return to my pinterest board of possible knit items and actually make something!! Hip hip huzzah!!!
